First Birthday Party

The Saturday before Graham's party was like a gorgeous spring day with temperatures in the 60s. However, it was snowing when we woke up today for Graham's party. Thankfully, it wasn't sticking. We had an ice storm two days before the party too. Oh well. All of his family still came to visit him anyway.

The birthday boy was in a good mood early in the party and loved being the center of attention. He wasn't so happy or cooperative during present opening and wasn't very happy for cake smashing either. (We later learned that a bottle would have done the trick. We had just fed him before the party so we didn't realize this would have worked magic. After that, he was back to his happy self.) The best part of the cake smashing is when he ripped off the head of the frog.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate Graham's first birthday with us! And thanks for all his goodies too! He's already had fun playing with everything. However, after everyone left, he was full speed and then started to crash. He was so sleepy that he fell asleep in his highchair while eating dinner.
